Celebrating a Big Milestone: Our First Chief Scout’s Acorn Awards! 🌰🏅

Date: 28th Mar 2025 Author: Richard Murray

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone in our Squirrel Scout journey — the awarding of our very first Chief Scout’s Acorn Awards to four of our young people!

This award marks the highest achievement a Squirrel Scout can earn and is a true celebration of everything Scouting represents at this age: having adventures, helping others, learning new skills, and growing in confidence. Over the past year, these young Squirrels have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, curiosity, and kindness — and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress they’ve made.

To earn this award, they’ve worked consistently across their badge work, joining in with activities that have stretched their creativity, encouraged teamwork, and inspired personal growth. Whether it was through outdoor fun, problem-solving challenges, storytelling, or helping out at home and in their community, they’ve shown real commitment to the Squirrel Scout values.

Reaching this point is no small achievement – especially as this is the first year we’ve had a Squirrel Drey, making these four young people our pioneers. They’ve set a brilliant example for others to follow, and we hope their journey will inspire many more young Squirrels to aim for the Acorn Award in the years to come.

A huge congratulations to our amazing recipients – we are so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see where your Scouting adventure takes you next! 🐿🌟
